So now, I officially no longer have any hope for ethanol production.

Corrupt old-fashioned car companies and factory farming. Two good things that go better together. Imagine, SUVs running on American agricultural trade subsidies. Taxpayers helping to save the planet from diminished corporate profits. And of course delightful reductions of greenhouse gases and oil consumption, only at the tailpipe without any overall efficiency.

Oh well, my dreams of an post-oil agrarian, cardon-dioxide free, revolution are diminshihed but not destroyed. I will just treasure this image and hold on to the hope:

Kids and their cows. It gives me hope for the future.

P.S. Check out the GM commercial and video podcast for a delightful glimpse at how to use a tasty vegetable to market an insidious corporate scheme.

P.P.S. I still have a small interest in cellulosic ethanol but the whole idea of powering cars on food is a little hare-brained.
