has anyone ever seen one of those projection mapping things in real life?
I am kinda considering doing one just so I don't have to make it to an art festival to see it.
I am concerned that they won't looks as good with depth perception tho.
How many projectors do you think that video uses? Have you seen any DIY how-to guides for this online?

I think you can get away with one projector as far as I know, it depends on how complex the surface you are projecting onto is.
I think the next step is building a computer model of the object that you are projecting onto, and set the computer camera in the same position as the projector. Then you animate the colors on the computer model, then magic...
